Shingirai is a political economist and international development specialist. His work is on the intersection of extractive natural resource economies and configurations of political power, good governance, and human rights, with special focus on East and Southern Africa. He holds a PhD in International Development from the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Dendere is assistant professor of Political Science in the Africana Studies Department here at Wellesley College. Dr Dendere studies democratization, elections, and voting behavior in Africa, as well as the impact of social media on politics. She is also originally from Zimbabwe.

Dr. Wellington Nyangoni

Professor, African and African American Studies, Brandeis University

Dr Nyangoni is professor of African and African American Studies at Brandeis University. He is an expert on African economic development, comparative third world politics, China-Africa trade relations, and international organizations such as the UN, IMF, WB, WTO, AU. Dr Nyangoni is also originally from Zimbabwe.
