Born and raised in a city that is widely referred to as the modern day Tale of Two Cities, Karen is passionate about issues such as income inequality, affordable housing, education equity, wage and labor rights, women's rights, privacy rights, and civic engagement. She believes that it's imperative that free speech is promoted because it is the first step to being involved in a democratic political process.
